Electricity supply in New Zealand is at a cross-roads. The local lines companies have been taken out of local hands, whilst reinvestment in local distribution infrastructure has all but ground to a halt - due to limitation of investment inadvertently brought about by regulation imposing restrictions on electricity distribution pricing.
Natural Systems’ Electricity Think Tank is working with international (and local) experts to developing strategies to direct the future of electricity distribution throughout New Zealand.
Distributed Generation, Load Management, Smart Metering and Intelligent Networks are catch phrases that some organisations may talk about on occasion - but are the baseline of the passion exuded by Natural Systems’ staff and stakeholders - in their collective goal to improve the economic and technical efficiency of electricity supply throughout New Zealand.
